19MAY19 - Mersa Matruh PvP
Sunday 19/05/19 - 1800 hrs GMT

Time is 1800 hrs GMT, 1900 hrs BST (UK time), 1400 hrs EST (US East), 1000 hrs PST (US West).
This event will be using the PvP v2 modpack. This is attached to this post and also is available on TeamSpeak in the usual area. Modpack has been released. Modpack has been updated to v2.
Modpack PvP v2 includes a local mod. To find this go to the "Mods" channel on TeamSpeak 3 and find @23PzDDak.rar and download it - unzip the file and drag the folder into the Arma 3 launcher.
The agreement to us using this mod is that it is not uploaded by anyone to any other platform and it is deleted after use.
The event will start at 1830 hrs GMT, however, people will need to be on NLT 1800 hrs GMT in order to kit up, receive orders, and prepare. I recommend that all personnel aim to be on the server at 1730 hrs GMT (please note this is 1830 hrs BST - i.e. 30 minutes before normal event start time) so that we can ensure we are correctly presented and ready to go. Any late joiners will not be able to partake.
Information
The Red Devils orders document will be distributed in the No.4 Platoon, Platoon Commander's forum area once it is released (so it is not public!). Specific orders will be released Saturday.
We will be working with the 7th Armoured Division, 23rd Panzer Division, and the 5th Guards Cavalry Division to partake in a TvT scenario.
7AD and ourselves will be portraying New Zealand against the German forces in a scenario inspired lightly by this battle: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mersa_Matruh
Due to the terrain, we will be operating in Bren Carriers (sorry but no half-tracks). 7AD will be operating in carriers also. The German forces will be operating in their half-tracks.
Allied forces will have armoured assets Shermans/Crusaders (7AD will man these) and the other team will have Panzer IV(s). More information will be given in the orders document.

There is a poll attached to this post, please respond to the poll to indicate your attendance - message your Section Commander with any reasons why you will not be attending.
Anyone who fails to respond to the sign up will not be allowed to partake in the event. Work with your sections to ensure everyone responds.
Those with preexisiting LOAs: (Olympus), McArthur, Heikkinen, Monahan.
