 Gnr. G. Goodspeed: Operation Varsity III - while conducting a covering group overlooking Obj MINNESOTA, upon being directed to an enemy trench 300m forward of the covering group, Gnr. G. Goodspeed calmly and accurately eliminated seven enemy personnel in the trench system each with a single round from his Bren L.M.G. This action took him no longer than 30 seconds to identify and eliminate the garrisoned troops, who were caught unaware and unable to bring return fire down on the advancing troops. As a result, the assaulting section of Recce personnel were able to approach from the flank and enter the trench system without being shot at, enabling them to conduct their mission of clearing the remaining trenches.
