This event is a military simulation PVP event. You can expect the following: - No third person - No respawns - Realistic equipment - Expected length of 2-3 hours Important note, while all attempts are being made to ensure a balanced and fair PVP experience, the nature of these MILSIM style operations may leave teams with certain advantages/disadvantages. We ask that all players understand that this is a friendly MILSIM/Re-enactment PVP and not a competitive match. Preliminaries 6th June 1944 0904hrs Situation A German artillery battery consisting of 4 10.5cm leFH 18 static howitzers are firing onto causeway exit #2 leading off of Utah beach and disrupting landing forces. - Enemy Forces No. 6 Battery, 90th Artillery Regiment 4x 10.5cm leFH 18 static howitzers (Mission specific note: The guns will be AI controlled so no effort needs to be taken by the players to man them. The German team will just defend them.) Mission A joint platoon from 2nd Battalion, Essex Regiment and 2nd Battalion, 1st Airborne Division's task is to move to and destroy these guns. Execution -TBC- Coordinating Instructions -TBC- Service Support -TBC- Command and Signal -TBC- Aerial Reconnaissance
I can also confirm my own attendance.
Girlfriend goes back to Norway early Monday morning so I'm sure she can do without me buzzing in her ear the evening before-hand.
