22SEP18 - Recruit Evaluation Module III

Saturday 22/09/18 - 1900 hrs UK/BST/GMT+1

This event will be using the v9 modpack. This is a NEW modpack.

Information
Module III evaluation for recruits.

No.4 Platoon will be tasked with an objective at the start of the event. The platoon, mainly the recruits, will then be given time to generate a plan, using everything taught in their training, and any additional notes that any member of the platoon can think of; recruits should strive to show off their knowledge and all should help to formulate the plan and a verbal OPORD (operation order) where details such as the mission, general instructions, coordinating instructions, administration and logistics, and command and signal aspects should be considered.

The mission will begin with tactically falling out of a C-47 Skytrain, where each member of the platoon will have to find their way to the RV. All recruits are being monitored during this session (so make sure you look good). Aim to show off what you have learnt during your training, and anything else you have knowledge of (e.g. more advanced tactics, ACE medicals, etc) where you are able to.

Some members may be acting as enemy during the session to provide a realistic and challenging environment, however, some will be put into the platoon/section being evaluated to allow for more experienced guidance.

Members on No.11 Troop will need to help in generating the plan. No.11 Troop will be inserted via glider into a nearby LZ.

Debrief notes:
- Not considering the event a PvP environment
- Lots of loss of life
- Infantry not supporting tank
- Tank with friendly fire
- When assaulting --> grenades then assault
- People being very far behind (need to keep up)
- Lack of security (All round defence)
- People not passing orders on
- Not taking cover
- Lack of reaction to contact
- BE AWARE, stop looting bodies as soon as you can
- ACRE volume

Many things will be drilled in following trainings. Many of the above only had one or two occurences in the mission. Standard needs to rise for the unit as a whole.
